Tented Migration Camp

Enkoshok Plains Camp

Location Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
Capacity 18 guests
Camp Type Tented Migration Camp

Enkoshok Plains Camp sits on the bank of the Mara River, directly in the path of the wildebeest migration as it crosses between Kenya and Tanzania each year. Nine spacious tents, each with a private veranda, are pitched beneath a canopy of fig and croton trees that shade the camp from the midday sun.

Guiding here is led by Maasai trackers who grew up on this land and read it fluently — from the direction of a dust cloud on the horizon to the alarm call of a distant impala. Game drives range across open savannah studded with acacia, while sundowners are taken on a bluff overlooking the river, glass in hand, watching the plains turn gold.

Enkoshok partners with a neighbouring Maasai community on a school-sponsorship programme, and guests are welcome to visit — a chance to meet the people whose stewardship keeps the Mara wild.
