Our Purpose
Impact
Conservation is at the heart of everything we do. Since 2023, Legson Journeys has been a driving force for the protection of African wilderness, working exclusively with camps and communities that share our commitment to responsible, regenerative travel. Every journey we design contributes directly to the land, wildlife, and people that make it possible.
Four Pillars of Responsible Travel
Wilderness Protection
Tourism revenue directly funds land protection, anti-poaching operations, and habitat management across every destination we work in.
Community Development
The vast majority of our guides, trackers, and camp staff are drawn from communities neighbouring the reserves we operate in.
Wildlife Conservation
We partner with camps and reserves whose conservation practices meet our standards, from anti-poaching support to species monitoring.
Education & Awareness
Every guest leaves with a deeper understanding of the ecosystems they visited — awareness that turns into lifelong advocacy for conservation.
What This Looks Like in Practice
Anti-Poaching Support
A share of every booking contributes to ranger patrols, monitoring equipment, and community scout programmes across our partner reserves.
Community Conservancies
We prioritise camps built on community-conservancy land, where lease payments and jobs flow directly to the people who share that land with wildlife.
Low-Impact Camp Design
Solar power, borehole water management, and waste reduction are standard expectations for every camp we work with, not an optional extra.
