FAQ

Before You Travel

We recommend booking 6–12 months ahead for peak season travel (July–October and December–January), as the finest camps have limited beds and fill quickly. Trips outside peak season can often be arranged with a few months' notice.
Requirements vary by nationality and destination — several countries in our portfolio offer visa-on-arrival or online e-visas. Your travel designer will confirm exact requirements once your itinerary is set.
Requirements vary by country and region. We recommend consulting a travel health clinic 4–6 weeks before departure; yellow fever certification is required for some routings, and malaria prophylaxis is advisable for most safari areas.
Neutral-coloured, lightweight clothing, a warm layer for early morning game drives, comfortable closed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and binoculars. Most fly-in camps have soft-bag luggage weight restrictions — we'll send a full packing list once your trip is confirmed.

Booking & Payments

After your enquiry, a travel designer builds a tailor-made itinerary and quote. Once approved, a deposit secures your camps and flights, with the balance due closer to departure.
We accept bank transfer and major credit cards. Specific payment terms and currencies are confirmed in your booking documents.
Cancellation terms vary by camp and season and are outlined clearly in your booking confirmation before you pay any deposit. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for every journey.
Yes — we can arrange both international connections and the light-aircraft transfers between camps that most safari itineraries require.

On Safari

Most days begin with an early game drive or walk before breakfast, a rest period through the heat of midday, and a second game drive or activity in the late afternoon into evening.
Wildlife viewing is never guaranteed — these are wild animals in a wild landscape — but our guides' expertise and our camps' locations give guests excellent odds across a multi-day stay.
Most camps offer Wi-Fi in central areas, though some — particularly remote walking-safari camps — deliberately limit connectivity as part of the experience. We'll flag this in your itinerary.
Many camps welcome children, though some have minimum age requirements (commonly 6 or 12) for game drives and walking safaris. Let us know your family's ages and we'll match you to suitable camps.

Health & Safety

Yes — our partner camps maintain rigorous safety standards, and guides are extensively trained in wildlife behaviour and emergency protocols. Millions of travellers safari safely across Africa each year.
Most camps have direct radio or satellite contact with medical evacuation services, and remote-area medical insurance is strongly recommended for every safari traveller.
Yes, comprehensive travel insurance including medical evacuation cover is a requirement for booking with us, given the remote nature of many safari destinations.
