Chimpanzee Tracking

Follow habituated chimpanzee communities through the canopy of Kibale Forest — Uganda’s primate capital — for an intimate, active encounter with our closest living relatives. Kibale holds one of the highest densities of primates in Africa, with thirteen species including chimpanzees, and offers some of the continent’s most reliable chimp sightings.

Guided treks typically last two to four hours and can be paired with a longer ‘habituation experience’ that follows a community from dawn nesting through their full day. Kibale sits within easy reach of Queen Elizabeth National Park, making it a natural pairing with a Uganda safari itinerary.
